Born in Montreal, Chantal started her career in 1985 at the Canadian Press radio network NTR. Afterwards, she became a sports reporter at Radio-Canada in Ottawa. Chantal started her RDS adventure in 1989 and became the first woman to present a daily sports news report in Canada hosting the very first Sports 30 at RDS. In 2004, Chantal was the first woman to host the Montreal Canadiens Hockey broadcasts at RDS. She was also anchorwoman for the 2010 Vancouver Olympic Games as well as the London Olympic Games in 2012. Chantal is now the journalist assigned to the Canadiens and National League of Hockey activities. She also hosts Hockey 360 and l’Antichambre alternately on Saturday nights.
In April 2018, the journalist Guillaume Lefrançois of La Presse, wrote her biography, Désavantage numérique which recounts her inspiring career path along with she has succeeded to stand out in an environment dominated by men. On September 1 st , 1989, Chantal made RDS history by being the first host on this sports channel.
